Family Archive is free, open-source software for private, self-hosted family archives.
Description
Family Archive is a free and open-source project for people who want to preserve family photographs, documents, stories and genealogy context in a private archive they control themselves.
The first application in the project is JFA, a WordPress plugin that brings photographs, albums, documents, people and family relationships together. The project is self-hosted, privacy-focused and developed in the open.
Family Archive is free and will not have a paid edition that reserves features for paying users.
Donations are entirely optional. They mainly help cover practical costs such as domain names, server hosting, the public JFA demo and other small infrastructure expenses.
You do not need to donate to support the project. Using JFA, testing new releases, reporting a bug, improving documentation, sharing the project or contributing code can be just as valuable. A good report of an unusual bug can be invaluable.
Donations do not affect access to features or development priorities. If you enjoy the project and genuinely want to help with its running costs, your support is greatly appreciated.
