Sonveil is a free, open-source Android music player for a library you host yourself. It connects to Navidrome, Subsonic, and other OpenSubsonic-compatible servers, streams the original files, and can download albums and playlists for offline listening. Playback also works from the notification, Bluetooth, and Android Auto.

It is aimed at people who care how the music sounds: ReplayGain, gapless playback, a 10-band and parametric equalizer, and AutoEQ headphone profiles. The app talks only to your server. There is no Sonveil account, no ads, and no telemetry. Credentials stay encrypted on the device.

Sonveil is MIT-licensed. Source and releases: https://github.com/exquisiteskink/Sonveil

I maintain it in my own time. A donation here is a gift toward that work. It does not buy features, support, or access, and the app stays free for everyone.

The money pays for time on releases and bugfixes, testing on real phones and in Android Auto, and preparing an official F-Droid package. The F-Droid listing is still in preparation.
