Description

I'm a career changer working through a Data Science & AI bootcamp, building independent software projects alongside it. My current focus is The Diodati Debtors, a community library application for book clubs. Members catalogue their own books, lend and borrow within trusted groups through a request/approval workflow, discuss what they're reading, write reviews, and see trust signals that help decide who to lend to. Under the hood: a fully layered Python architecture (Reflex, SQLAlchemy, MySQL, Alembic), Open Library integration for book metadata and covers, and Google Gemini for AI-generated book summaries — with a semantic recommendation feature ("Ask the Librarian") in active development, combining text embeddings and natural-language search over the club's own library. Deployed and live on Railway, with over 130 automated tests covering the business logic.

This page will grow to include other independent projects over time. Donations help cover infrastructure costs such as hosting, domains, and third-party API usage — nothing more.
